The family of a North Shore man who was hit by a truck on the North Shore has had a major home improvement project funded by a $10 million grant.
The North Shore Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Monk family’s home-improvement project in North Shore, a suburb north of Seattle.
The grant, which was awarded last month, was made possible by a grant from the state Department of Transportation’s Capital Investment Fund, said Mike Bohn, a Northshore Community Foundation official.
The project was funded by the Northshore Transportation Improvement Fund.
The fund is intended to support innovative projects to improve transportation infrastructure and services in the Northland region.
